WTVI Launches Advanced New Website
Upgrade Benefits Browsers Seeking PBS News, Information & Programming
Featured In The Charlotte Observer and The Charlotte Business Journal
Charlotte, NC - October 25, 2006 - WTVI has launched an advanced new Internet website to better connect television station viewers with daily programming and provide timely information on national and international news and events. The new website is located at www.wtvi.org. The new website was developed by CC Communications, a full service online marketing firm specializing in Internet strategy, website design, email marketing and custom programming.
Upgraded features of the new website include daily newscasts and video streamed directly from The NewsHour program, web links to PBS Kids, PBS Parents and PBS TeacherSource, and around-the-clock listings for current station programming. The improved website also offers an interactive TV Schedule allowing browsers to see various WTVI channels and program listings in a two-hour grid, expandable to full-day and full-week views.
“Our aim was to develop a website that would be user-friendly to browsers, giving them an opportunity to learn more about our diverse, educational programming, and to explore and digest helpful information from PBS for parents, children and teachers,” said WTVI President & CEO Elsie Garner.
CC Communications Senior Account Manager Christy Williams adds “It made sense that our two organizations move forward together. Working with the team at WTVI is an especially rewarding experience considering the far-reaching positive impact the new high-quality website will have on the WTVI viewing audience.”
