Better Business Bureau Upgrades Online Member Directory
New Members Direct Database Improves Services for Members and Consumers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – May 15, 2006 – The Better Business Bureau of Southern Piedmont has launched a new online member directory that offers upgraded services to members, consumers, and corporate buyers. The new online directory, known as Members Direct, is available at the website address http://www.bbbmembersdirect.com, or by visiting the Better Business Bureau website at http://www.charlotte.bbb.org and clicking “Find a Member”. BBB President/CEO, Tom Bartholomy said this is a great enhancement to BBB membership, “We’ve been offering an online directory for the past several years, but Members Direct is a newer version which allows easy navigation and simplicity for businesses and consumers.   We’re excited about this enhanced member benefit and feel confident it will be positively received by members and consumers.”

Members Direct is one of the largest online business directories in the region. A quarterly subscription fee allows members of the Better Business Bureau to enhance their online listing by adding a logo, a headline, an expanded description, photos, web links, email forwarding, maps, and coupons. In addition, members may add supplemental categories for their listing, and over time track cumulative visits to their listing.
