MobileEasy FAQ

  • How Much Does MobileEasy Cost?

    • MobileEasy requires a one-time set up fee of $500 plus $9 per month.

  • How are mobile web sites different than PC sites?
  •

  • Mobile websites are built for the special characteristics of mobile phones to provide the best possible experience to users. Besides adapting to the smaller screen of a mobile phone, they are also made easier to navigate using touch or a keypad and provide more direct access to the information that a customer is more likely to need while on the go.

  • Will this replace my desktop site, or be in addition to my desktop site?
  •

No, this is a mobile-friendly arm to your current website. Your main website will not be affected.

  • What are the benefits to my customers?
  •

  • The main complaint from mobile users, who visit a full web site on their mobile devices, is how much time and data is required to load the site and how hard it is to find the information they need. Most of these customers abandon such sites quickly out of frustration and are unlikely to return.
  •
  • A MobileEasy site resolves these problems and satisfies your mobile visitors by giving them quick and easy access to the key information about your business. Impress your visitors and potential clients on their first encounter with your business!

  • How will people actually get to my MobileEasy site?
  •
  • MobileEasy provides automatic recognized redirection of mobile users from your business site to your MobileEasy site, so they are guaranteed clean browsing experience.

  • How is my MobileEasy built?
  •
  • When you sign up for MobileEasy, you get access to the user friendly MobileEasy Setup Assistant, which puts you in charge of your site’s look and content. With the Setup Assistant your site can be built in minutes and changed whenever you wish. The CC Communications Team also works hand-in-hand with you to customize your MobileEasy, too.

  • How much time will I need to set up my MobileEasy site?

  • On using the .mobi domain

  • Does MobileEasy require a .mobi domain name?
  •

  • MobileEasy does not require a .mobi domain name.  It is recommended to use a .mobi domain for a mobile website, to communicate to the end user that the site is mobile friendly, and to assist search engines to recognize it as a mobile site.
  •   (For example: m.CCCommunications.com).

  • Can MobileEasy be used with a third level domain?
  •

  • Yes.

  • I already own a .mobi domain name, can I use it instead of getting another one with MobileEasy?
  • Yes. Your registrar can easily help you point your .mobi domain to your MobileEasy site.

  • What happens if the expiration date for my domain is different to the one for my MobileEasy site?

  • The MobileEasy service is dependent on the availability of the domain to reach the site; therefore, if the domain expires, the MobileEasy site cannot be reached. It is necessary to renew the domain, or use another domain to reach the MobileEasy site to ensure continuity of service.

  • Can I delete the domain name but keep MobileEasy?
  •

  • Yes you can, provided you remember to specify another domain for your MobileEasy site to keep it reachable.

  • Do I have to renew MobileEasy at the same time as the domain?
  •

  • No, they do not have to be renewed together, but for the MobileEasy service to be reachable, the domain has to be current.
  •

    Technical Issues

  • How soon is a MobileEasy site live after the service is activated?
  •

  • Your MobileEasy site should be open for business from the moment you click the “Get Started” button in the Setup Assistant. Depending on the domain you are using, there might be a certain delay as a result of how quickly the nameservers´ information propagates on the Internet.

  •
  • How quickly are changes made on a source site reflected on the MobileEasy site?
  •

  • When content on a source site is modified, which is linked from the MobileEasy site, changes are reflected immediately. Changes to content such as phone numbers and addresses are not reflected if they have been confirmed as correct via the Setup Assistant. You will need to modify that information manually in the Setup Assistant which is easy to do.
